GOALS

Welcome to the New Year! We know its been a couple of weeks since the year has started, but we wanted to give everyone sometime to settle in the new year before we posted about GOALS. Recently, we read an awesome blogpost from a great blogger, Crystal at www.moneysavingmom.com. The post is from a couple of years ago, but it gives a great perspective on how to address the new year and gives direction on how to compile our goals and make them something achievable for you in the New Year. EVERYONE has heard of the “New Year, New Me” saying as well as the “My New Year Resolutions are........” These usually end in a very non-productive way, where your resolutions fall apart and you have not accomplished any them. This becomes discouraging, leaving people feeling empty and incomplete. The New Year is a great way to create GOALS rather than RESOLUTIONS. Goals are achievable and measurable when they are broken down into smaller goals.

For example:

Goal: This year I want to focus on being healthy.

Smaller goal: I will drink 8-10 glasses of water a day

Smaller goal: I will switch from white rice/white bread to brown rice/wheat bread

Creating the smaller goals will help sustaining this main goal which will make it achievable by the end of the year.

At Beauty is You we have created one main goal for the year. Our goal is to be able to reach as many women as possible in 2015. We will work on bringing more workshops to the area, as well as connecting with other local programs in the community. We have many small goals that will sustain our main goal, but the important thing is that we will be working towards the main goal! We hope the New Year brings everyone many BLESSINGS and PURPOSE in your lives. Start creating your GOALS!!!!!!
